Craft Night

Last Thursday, my friend Danielle hosted our Enrichment Craft Night. It was so much fun!! She came up with the idea of making wreaths that hang on a painted wood plaque, and are hung with a ribbon. So many girls came from the ward and we all had such a great night of just hanging out with fun girls! She took a bunch of pictures so I'm going to steal some and show all of you!

a collage of some of the creative ideas....they are all so different, but so cute!

Temples

Tonight Ryan and I are going to meet with our Bishop to get our special temple dedication recommends. On Sunday, the new Draper Temple will be dedicated.

In our stake, each ward will go to church for only 2 hours instead of 3, and then at 4:00, each ward will be able to come back to the church and watch the broadcast of the dedication. I'm so excited to attend, because I've never actually seen a temple be dedicated. On Sunday, our stake counselor told us, that for that time period, our stake center will be treated as if it is a temple itself, they will be checking for each persons special recommend before they are able to enter in, then we will be seated and be able to watch as the events take place!

I really can't wait, I think Sunday will be such a great day! I added a video I saw on youtube, of why the LDS church builds temples, I think it's a really neat video, as it interviews people who aren't even of our faith, but can still understand and respect our temples.

St. Patty's Day!!!!

i have been looking forward to St. Patrick's day for so long! It's my favorite holiday for a couple reasons:
1. It's fun to make just a normal day of the week into something special, no matter what holiday!
2. green is my favorite color EVER! Any holiday the celebrates by using only the color green, is awesome! (it's super special because no other color gets a holiday all to itself!)
3. it's the day Ryan and I met 2 years ago!

To celebrate today, I wore my new green and white striped shirt

and made an all green dinner: Green garlic mashed potatoes, green salad, green beans, green tinted water, and grilled chicken (this was impossible to make green...so it was sprinkled with green parsley)

So I hope all of you had a wonderful day today! I can't wait til next year!!!

BASEBALL!!!!

This past weekend, we went to Mesquite NV for the baseball spring break tournament. They played 4 games total, two against Loyola Marymount University, one against Oregon State, and one against Univeristy of Santa Barbara. We won the two games against LMU and lost the other two. We had such a great time!
We left Thursday afternoon, and drove down with our best friend's, The Davis'. Friday, the team had a double header, and another double header Saturday, then we headed home on Sunday morning.
We found that there isn't much to do in Mesquite...at all! We watched the movie "Mighty Joe Young" on TV one night. After Ryan and Alex would leave to the field, Danielle and I were stuck in our hotel room waiting for the games to start, we ended up watching everything from Harry Potter to some Modeling show on E!...haha, we had a great time though and are sad to be home already after such a short trip.

Me and my love :)

The team was playing "flip" before one of the games, and we were pretty entertained by it, so we took a picture, it turned out pretty cool I think!

The rest of this week will be a lot of fun since Ryan is on Spring Break, we'll be able to spend time with our friends during the nights!

USU Basketball

This past week, we went to the USU Basketball, it is the last one we'll be able to attend this season, and they won the WAC Regular Season Championship. So not only did they win...by about 10 points....but we also got to rush the court, and watch the whole team get up on the ladder and cut down the net! It was so much fun! The best part of it was that we got to go with our best friends, The Davis'. They're going to be moving in May, and won't be coming back up in the fall, so right now is the only time we have with them! No matter how much I want summer to come, I really am dreading it because it means they'll be gone. After the game, the four of us celebrated our last basketball game together by going to Cold Stone, mmm!

So now that basketball season is over, baseball season is on it's way! We'll be going on our second baseball trip of the year this weekend. We're going to Mesquite Thursday night, and they'll have a double header Friday, another double header on Saturday, and we'll be coming back home on Sunday. It's just a short trip, but a LONG awaited one! I'm so excited for baseball season, it will be so much fun this year! So check back soon, I'll be posting pictures of Mesquite when we get back!
