sugar cookies

mmm. last night ryan and i made sugar cookies that turned out so great! they're so soft and delicious! here's the recipe if you wanna try them out:

1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
8 oz. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda

- Mix together all dry ingredients except the sugar, set aside. Cream together sugar and butter until the sugar dissolves and turns a light yellow color. Mix in eggs, sour cream, and vanilla. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix just until combined, do not over mix or the cookies will not be as fluffy.
- Chill in the fridge for an hour.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Roll cookies in to balls or roll out with a rolling pin to make cut out cookies. Either make big balls or dough, or roll it out thick so they stay soft.
- Bake for 7 minutes and 350.

Frosting

1 cube softened butter
1/2 c. sour cream
1 bag powdered sugar
1 tbls. vanilla

- Whip together butter and sugar, then add the sour cream and sugar.
- If you like your frosting thicker use less sour cream, or just add more sugar

my husband :)

What is your Husband's full name: Ryan Orrin Doyle

How long have you been together: Been married for 7 1/2 months

How long did you date: 4 months from first date to wedding date! :)

Who eats more: probably Ryan

Who said "I love you" first: Ryan did. and when he did the only response i could come up with was "really??"

Who has more speeding tickets: me...sorry!

Who is smarter: Ryan. he doesn't even have to try i swear. he just magically gets A's, i love it!

Who is more sensitive: for sure me. i cry over everything! even commercials. pretty sure i've only seen him cry once.

Who does the laundry: we do it together. once a week. but Ryan likes to take charge and do it.

Who does the dishes: He always does all the dinner dishes, other than that, I do.

Who sleeps on the right: Ryan.

Who pays the bills: We do them together.

Who cooks dinner: Me. But Ryan helps out anytime i ask him.

Who drives when you are together: Always Ryan.

Who is more stubborn: we both are very stubborn. we don't like to give in to each other...but usually one of us caves in after awhile.

Who kissed whom first: Ryan kissed me, and i laughed because i was so giddy and happy, and then he was scared to kiss me again for a couple dates, haha! he thought i was laughing at him, i felt so bad!

Who asked out who first: he asked first.

Who proposed: Ryan did. it was SO cute! he made a photo album of all the places that meant something to us (first date, first kiss, etc.) and the last picture was of the bench we were sitting on, and he asked "do you know what this one means" and then he said "it's where i'm going to ask you to marry me" then he got down and his knee, it was ADORABLE!

What are his hobbies: baseball, baseball, and baseball. we play the WII, watch baseball, work-out, and did i mention baseball?

When did you first know you loved him: after our first date. i came home and knew i just wanted to marry him and never date anyone else again. i loved him at first sight!

What do you love most about him: I love how sweet and thoughtful he is. He shows it in his own individual way and i love it. I love it when he hugs me, one hand is behind my back, and the other holds my head against his chest. I love it when he kisses my forehead. I love it when we listen to the radio and he'll change the words of the song to make up a cute song for me. i love it when he sets the alarm 10 minutes early so we can cuddle before we get out of bed. sometimes when we are both in the kitchen, he'll all the sudden start dancing with me and singing random songs, and i love that. pretty much i love everything he does! he's prefect, and i love that!

What is his best quality: everything about him is his best quality!

SPRINGTIME!

we are both SO glad that spring is finally here! it's been a long time coming...but today is the first day i didn't have to wear a coat or a jacket to work! it was so great! i'm so glad that it's warm weather again!

usu vs. montana state

this weekend we had 3 games vs. montana state university. A double header on Saturday and one game on Sunday. Ryan pitched the whole first game and we won 4-5. The second game on Saturday we lost 13-7. and then on Sunday we won 13-7, Ryan pitched some in that game after he went in for another pitcher who wasn't feeling very well.
He did so good this weekend and i'm so proud of him! next weekend they'll be playing the number one team in our conference Weber State at Lindquist Field in Ogden.

wild heart western

Last Thursday, Danielle and I went with Kim (my very very favorite mother in law!) down to Baby Animal Days at the American West Heritage Center to model clothes from her store on the Valley Channel (a local channel here in Cache Valley). It was so much fun! The hosts of the show were so cute, they talked to Kim and asked her to describe what we were wearing...and it was just a really fun new experience, we had a blast!

This past weekend, Ryan went to Montana for baseball games, so I went to my parents house for the weekend. It was so great! On Friday night, I met up with my friend Allie and we went to yummy Roosters in Ogden for dinner. It was such a long over due get together and it really was just so great to meet up with her and catch up on everything! Then on Saturday, I watched Conference with my mom and sisters Michelle and Jeanette. Michelle's husband Scott was gone skiing with my dad all day, so she brought the kids down and watched with us. That night, during the men's Priesthood session, my mom, and Jeanette and I decided to go on a little shopping spree! We each got a couple pairs of shoes and some new clothes at the mall, and then we headed to Tai Pan (my favorite) and did some damage to our check books there too. On Sunday morning we all got up and watched Conference again. Since Ryan's games had gotten cancelled because of snow in Montana, they were able to come home early, so he met us in Ogden on Sunday afternoon! We had the whole family over that night for Michelle's 28th birthday dinner! It was so much fun to have everyone together and get to spend time with them. After dinner, we watched Michelle open presents, and the kids entertained us with their cute songs they've learned in PrImary...Book of Mormon Stories, Popcorn Popping, etc.

It was such a great weekend! and I can't wait for this weekend too...baseball games IN LOGAN! yay! cheer for USU!

new shoes!

don't worry everyone...the shoE problem has been solved. AND best of all, it was a buy one get one free sale where i got them, so not only did i replace my FAVORITE shoes, but i got another pair for free! and on top of that i had a gift card to that store, SO i got both pairs for $15!

i guess that suffering through my pink shoe trama turned out for the best :)
