Peerless Beauty Supply SPring Show 2010

This past weekend, I went to my first hair show with a group of some fun friends from school. We had SUCH a great time! We left Sunday morning, and went to the show all day on Sunday, stayed the night and then went again on Monday for day 2! There were so many amazing stylists there, and fun new products to play with, and use, amazing education on the stages with famous artists instructing us with new techniques that they've been using.

I wanted to get my hair cut so so badly, but I'm way to scared to do it...but...these stage artists were just so amazing! We were at the Sexy Hair stage watching Faye Judson and Rod Sickler, and after their first show, they asked if there were any volunteers to get their hair cut for the next show, so I decided to volunteer and see what they came up with. I went backstage with a bunch of other girls and the two artists looked at all of us and were quick to decide, Rod asked what I wanted with my hair, and I told him I wanted something funky and new, short layers, but KEEP MY LENGTH!!!! haha I honestly made him pinky promise me that he wouldn't cut it off, and he did. So the show started, and I waited in back until it was my turn to go on stage. I was seriously so stinkin' nervous! I don't know why...I guess I just thought he wouldn't end up keeping his promise and he'd chop it all off. Finally it was my turn to go up on stage, and he got started...and yes, he kept his promise. He just cut in one center section of my head, and then busted out the CLIPPERS! I about freaked out when he got those out, I had bad images of having a shaved head for a second! But, he just framed in my face, and then was throwing up random pieces and cutting them with the clippers to give it a really piecey, choppy look, and it worked!

this is me, just panicking a bit before I went up on the stage.

the finished product. You can't tell that much of a difference from the front, but there are a bunch more layers, and I can do more styles with it now, I finally have a 'style' and not just hanging long hair. :) so happy, and such a fun experience!

After the show that first day, we went to check in at the hotel, and then headed out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, I'd never been there before and it did not disappoint, it was such yummy food! Loved it!

me, Bo, and Jules

Melanee's friend Kenzi met us there, Mel, and Shayli

That night we went back to the hotel with our slices of cheesecake and hit up the hot tub, it was amazing! So nice to sit in a hot tub and relax with friends, and of course talk about what we all love...hair :)

The next day we went to the show again and watched some more amazing stage artists. These two are from Joico, Sue Pemberton a colorist, and Damien Carney, a specialist in haircutting.

Then on the way home, Mel and I jammed out in the front, while Jules, Shayli and Bo took a nice snooze in the back :) so funny!

I had such a fun weekend, and I can't wait for the next show coming up in a couple weeks!
