Fourth of July
Well, I haven't posted in awhile, but don't worry, you haven't missed out on much. We've both been just really busy with school and work and baseball games...the usual! But this weekend was different! We finally had a free weekend with none of that stuff going on (oh how I love the holidays!!)
So yesterday, we planned on going up to the Onieda River to float down with about 10 other people, so we went out and bought some tubes from the tire store and just brought an air compresser to pump them up once we got the river. Well, 2 hours after we planned on being on the river, we had got lost trying to find it, then once we finally found it, we realized the air compressor required 120 volts, and the Jeep only had a 12 volt outlet! haha, so we couldn't even pump them up! So we turned around and came home. We were a bit bummed, but it was ok. We headed up to our friend Austin's house up the the East Ridge in Logan, it has a great view up there and we watched the firework show at USU. It was such a fun, and HUGE party! So many people were there, sheesh! But so much fun!
Then this morning, we slept in (finally, no school today!!) and made our 4th of July breakfast of fresh blueberry pancakes with fresh strawberries and whipped cream on top, mmm! Then we headed up to Lewiston to meet Julie, Jaab and Ty for another shot at floating the river! This time we headed to the Cub RIver. We floated down for awhile and then at stopped at spot Jaab knew about and played in the spill way, it was SO much fun! There was a ton of moss on the bottom, so when you sat down, it was so slippery that you'd just slide all the way to the bottom. Then we got out the tubes and rode those down too, We were there for while and had a great time! Thanks for inviting us guys!!!
Afterwards we came home and Ryan made delicious applewood smoked BBQ bacon burgers with corn on the cob and some strawberries! We set up the folding table and chairs outside and a yummy summer meal!
And now here we sit, exhausted from our fun day! We hope all of you had a great time celebrating your 4th of July too! Happy Birthday America!!!
