seriously
seriously check this out! I love this song that I found on a friends blog, so I had to add it to my blog too. It's the Jon Schmidt song "Viva la Vida" meets "Love Story" both are GREAT songs, and even better together, and EVEN BETTER it's an arrangement by Jon Schmidt, who is a remarkable pianist! This song makes me wish I could play the piano so so badly! Anyway, click on that picture and it takes you to the youtube video of it...ENJOY!

the weekend
this past weekend was so busy, but so much fun! on friday night we went up to Crystal Hot Springs with our friends the Gooch's and the Davis':
the picture is a little blurry because of the steam, but you can see it ok.
Then on Saturday morning, I ran in my first 5K with Ryan's sisters Julie, Kristin and Lauren...It was really fun to have Ryan cheering for me for once! haha! quite the role-reversal from what we're used to!
this is me and Kristin finishing, we decided that there should be fans cheering you on like this the whole way! It would have been a lot less tempting to stop and walk during the race :)
Then later that afternoon, I drove to Layton to meet my friends Allie and Chelsea for lunch at Red Robin (our favorite). Allie's birthday was this past week, and Chelsea is going on a mission soon, so we're trying to get together as much as possible before she leaves
(Allie is in the middle, Chelsea's on the right) after lunch, Allie and I got our nails and toes done, then I went to the Bountiful Temple for Chelsea's endowment session. It was so amazing to be there with her! I had such a great time, and it was fun to get to know some of her other friends and roommates from BYU!
Afterwards, I went to my parents house, had some dinner, and then drove the rest of the way back up to Logan...cleaned the house, then finally went to bed!
WHEW! As if that wasn't busy enough, I woke up the next morning and drove up to Pocatello to meet Ryan and the team for the last game in their 3 game series against ISU. It was great! They won all 3 games, and it was a BEAUTIFUL day!
So all in all, we had a great and busy weekend! I wish every day could be as fun as these past few were!

true love
I finally got my laptop from college working, it has been sitting since we got married, and has been a great dust collector. Anyway, I was looking around on it tonight, and I found this little gem...
this was taken of my mom and dad while they were dating...maybe engaged, I don't remember. Anyway, I had this picture framed in my dorm room, and I loved seeing it everyday! I think it's so adorable to see how in love they were (and still are). They just celebrated their 30th Anniversary together this past weekend! WOW! One day Ryan and I will be to that point, it seems a long way off though! Anyway, enjoy!

USU vs U of M
so, like I promised...the baseball post! we made the long trek up to Missoula on Friday night, and the boys played two games on Saturday night, and one game Sunday morning. We had such a great time, Danielle and I slept in, took our time getting ready, chatting, we found a mall and browsed around there for awhile, and had fun at the games cuddling together to keep each other warm! Haha! The two of us almost got into a fight with some unruly drunken Montana fans, but that story is for another time :) Anyway, the boys ended up winning two of the three games this weekend, and came out of everything feeling reassured and happy with a couple wins under their belt. Here are some of my favorite shots from the trip (I took about a million, so be glad that you got the 'sweetened condensed' version)
also, check out the baseball teams website for updates of scores, more pictures, and upcoming game info, I have a link to it on the right side of my blog, just click on the pic of Ryan! Thanks to Norm for keeping it up to date, and oh so nice! :)

easter weekend
our Easter weekend isn't going to be spent traditionally necessarily, we're in Missoula MT for baseball games this weekend, they have one game tomorrow night at 5, and then a double header on Sunday, and we'll be on our way home after that. It should be fun! So to celebrate Easter, we colored our eggs last night, we didn't do too many, just these 6, but they turned out pretty cute and really fun bright colors, the pictures don't really do them justice! But we had fun anyway! Check the baseball team's website for game updates, and when we get home, I'll post more about the games...HAPPY EASTER!!!

Conference Weekend
well, this weekend Ryan was gone to Boise for baseball games, so I had to entertain myself, and I actually didn't get as much done as planned, napping was too hard to resist! So on Saturday, after I dropped Ryan off with the team, I ran a couple errands, and then came home and cleaned out our closet. It has needed it for so long!
here is the before (our pile of pajames on the shelf, and my pile of shoes on the floor....gross)
and here is the after! so much better with the drawers for p.j.'s and the over the door shoe hanger:
I watched General Confernce the whole time I did all this, and then later Danielle (a fellow baseball wife widow) came over and we watched the movie Slumdog Millionaire, it's a great movie! It was really sad, and I couldn't believe how sad of a life that the characters had, but we still had fun hanging out together! After she left, I must say it was REALLY weird to go the bed without Ryan. I had to turn off all the lights (i get so scared doing this, lame i know) and then I shut the bedroom door, and decided to lock it for extra safenesss, then I had to watch t.v. for a bit too, until I finally fell asleep...it's just weird going to bed alone, and I hated it!
Then today (Sunday) I woke up, Toto of course was there to greet me
I got up and got ready, then went down to Ogden to watch the rest of Conference with my family. Afterwards, we played on my dad's new scooter he got for Christmas. Savannah and Jordan looked so cute/funny in the HUGE helmet, haha!
Also, Savannah and Jordan are really scared of animals of all kinds, so a hyper little Toto took some warming up to, but in the end, they like him! Savannah ended up running around with him all on her own, and this is as close as Jordan got, he barely touched his ear to pet him, but they made some big improvements today!
then, to end the day, we had a birthday cake for my sister Michelle, big 29!!! happy birthday!!!
Afterwards, I came back home, dropped Toto off, (he will be missed), and then Ryan finally came home! I was so happy to see him come through the door! I definately missed him this weekend, and it looks like I'll be going through the same thing next weekend...wish me luck!
